CELINE DION FLY LYRIC: Container Gardening. . Container gardens can create a natural sanctuary in a busy city street, along rooftops or on balconies. You can easily accentuate the welcoming look of a deck or patio with colorful pots of annuals, or fill your window boxes with beautiful shrub roses or any number of small perennials. Whether you arrange your pots in a group for a massed effect or highlight a smaller space with a single specimen, you’ll be delighted with this simple way to create a garden. Container gardening enables you to easily vary your color scheme, and as each plant finishes flowering, it can be replaced with another. Whether you choose to harmonize or contrast your colors, make sure there is variety in the height of each plant. Think also of the shape and texture of the leaves. Tall strap-like leaves will give a good vertical background to low-growing, wide-leafed plants. Choose plants with a long flowering season, or have others of a different type ready to replace them as they finish blooming. Experiment with creative containers. You might have an old porcelain bowl or copper urn you can use, or perhaps you’d rather make something really modern with timber or tiles. If you decide to buy your containers ready-made, terracotta pots look wonderful, but tend to absorb water. You don’t want your plants to dry out, so paint the interior of these pots with a special sealer available from hardware stores. Cheaper plastic pots can also be painted on the outside with water-based paints for good effect. When purchasing pots, don’t forget to buy matching saucers to catch the drips. This will save cement floors getting stained, or timber floors rotting. Always use a good quality potting mix in your containers. This will ensure the best performance possible from your plants. If you have steps leading up to your front door, an attractive pot plant on each one will delight your visitors. Indoors, pots of plants or flowers help to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Decide ahead of time where you want your pots to be positioned, and then buy plants that suit the situation. There is no point buying sun lovers for a shady position, for they will not do well. Some plants also have really large roots, so they are best kept for the open garden. If you have plenty of space at your front door, a group of potted plants off to one side will be more visually appealing than two similar plants placed each side. Unless they are spectacular, they will look rather boring. Group the pots in odd numbers rather than even, and vary the height and type. To tie the group together, add large rocks that are similar in appearance and just slightly different in size. Three or five pots of the same type and color, but in different sizes also look affective. With a creative mind and some determination, you will soon have a container garden that will be the envy of friends and strangers alike.Daniel Haran writes articles with tips and tricks for the hobbiest interested in backyard-gardening..

CHARLIZE THERONE: Celebrity Fragrances: Selling Across The Spectrum. . It seems that in today’s show biz world, it’s not enough just to sing, or act, or dance, you have to be an entrepreneur and become a brand all your own. One place where this is apparent is in the fragrance industry. It seems like everyone who’s anyone has their own fragrance these days, and usually more than one. Some bonds between the names and fragrances of celebrity perfumes are pretty clear, while others are a bit more tenuous. Here’s a breakdown of some scents to help you smell like your favorite celeb. In the celebrity fragrance market, Jennifer Lopez is a prolific perfume designer, with several scents, each theoretically connected to an aspect of J Lo’s lifestyle and passions. Still was introduced in 2003. It is a floral scent of freesia, honeysuckle, orange flower, rose, and jasmine. The floral fragrances are complemented by an eclectic mix of scents like sake, earl grey, and white pepper. Miami Glow is more of a fruity scent, with coconut, pink grapefruit, passion fruit, and black currant, that also has some floral scents of orange flower and heliotrope. Finally, the sweetness is tempered a bit by amber, musk and wood. Her newest scent, Live Luxe, is meant to embody the feelings Lopez has about dancing, as well as her passion for all things luxurious. It has peach, pear, apple, and melon scents, along with freesia and honeysuckle, as well as sandalwood, vanilla, and musk.Jessica Simpson appears to be cashing in on her reputation as a sweetie with her Dessert Treats beauty line, which includes fragrances that smell like your favorite sugary treats. Her two perfumes are Candy and Cupcake, while her other beauty products come in scents such as banana split, bubble gum, and creamsicle. They are apparently all edible as well and taste just like their names.Britney Spears has used her provocative image to market her fragrances, Curious and Fantasy. Curious was Britney’s first perfume, and it is a floral featuring the magnolia from Spears’ home state of Louisiana, along with vanilla and musk. Curious In Control is a darker and more complex fragrance, with essences of orchid, crème brulee, and black vanilla bean. Fantasy, marketed as a sort of love potion, is a fruitier scent, with lychee fruit, quince, and kiwi. The heart scents are sweet, with flavor of cupcake, and chocolate orchid. The scent is rounded out with musk and woods.Cathy Peterson writes about http://www.perfumefragrancecoupons.com/Coupons/Perfumania.com.html, http://www.perfumefragrancecoupons.com/Coupons/FragranceNet.com.html and http://www.perfumefragrancecoupons.com.

FREE CAMERON DIAZ NUDE VIDEO: Five Undiscovered California National Parks. . Summertime is a busy travel time and it seems everywhere you go it’s crowded. Instead of heading to the beach or Yosemite along with everyone else, try heading to one of the many beautiful and crowd-free California National Parks. Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon Less busy than Yellowstone, Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon are two separate National Parks managed as one, which means you only have to pay one entrance fee for the both of them.Sequoia National Park truly is an undiscovered California treasure. In the park you’ll find the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree in the world; Mount Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous United States; the second-largest road-free wilderness area in the United States, and Crescent Meadow, a Sequoia-rimmed meadow called the “gem of the Sierra” by John Muir. Channel Islands National Park Each island has its own endemic plants and animals, leading the Channel Islands to often be called California’s Galapagos. Over 2,000 species of plants and animals can be found within the park, which consists of five of the eight Channel Islands along the southern California coast from Point Conception near Santa Barbara to just north of Los Angeles. The park is lightly visited, never crowded and beautiful year-round. Fall is the best time to visit this California National Park though, because blue and humpback whales can be seen migrating. Death Valley National Park Home to one of the starkest landscapes in California, Death Valley is a geological wonder filled with exposed rock and sparse vegetation. With 3.4 million acres, Death Valley is the largest National Park in the contiguous U.S. The 18-mile drive from Furnace Creek to Badwater is a must, along the drive you’ll see fantastic salt formations, colorful views and the lowest place in the western hemisphere. Mount Shasta According to John Muir the beauty of Mount Shasta turned his blood to wine. Located in Northern California, Mount Shasta is the largest volcanic peak in the contiguous U.S., a towering mountain with one of the highest base-to-summit rises in the world.Snowcapped Mt. Shasta has pristine mountain lakes and rivers, majestic forests, and miles of backcountry to explore plus plenty of skiing, snowboarding, fishing, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. Joshua Tree National Park Located in south eastern California, Joshua Tree National Park includes two deserts, each with an ecosystem whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation. This California National Park gets its name from the unique looking Joshua tree which can be found in the higher, slightly cooler Mojave Desert. The geologically unique landscape of the area features hills of bare rock, broken up into loose bolder, making the area huge for rock climbing and scrambling enthusiasts. Barker Dam, Keys View, which offers views of the Coachella Valley and Salton Sea, bird watching, and Hidden Valley (not the salad dressing) are all must-sees of the Joshua Tree National Park.Jillian Scheeler is a spontaneous road-tripper and avid writer working on assignment for http://TravelPost.com - The Premier Source for Unbiased Hotel Reviews and Ratings. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND CAMERON DIAZ ENGAGEMENT: The Oregon Tale: Traveling the State. . Oregon is a place that isn’t known for vacations: it’s not a large tourist attraction or an ideal spring break destination. It, quite simply, isn’t famous. Because of this, it’s one of the most modest of regions. If someone were to ask Oregon if it was a nice state, in its own humble manner it would probably answer, “Well, I’m definitely top 50.”Despite not being known as a hot spot, Oregon is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Not only does it possess the naturalness of the Northwest - the land is paved with a tapestry of greens and browns - but it also maintains a sense of freshness, as if God is endlessly spraying it with Febreze. A place that quite simply has it all, Oregon is filled with mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, plains, and even an ocean. There are few places in Oregon where you won’t find beauty with the exception of the far eastern plains (Oregonians naturally refer to this area as “Idaho”). The state itself is filled with limitless majesty and endless things to do. The following is a list that will merely get you started. The Enchanted Forest - Just outside of Salem, the Enchanted Forest is one of the most unique amusement parks of all time. In an era where parks are trying to obtain the highest roller coaster or the fastest ride, The Enchanted Forest has stayed true to its roots.Located in an actual forest, this amusement park is perhaps one of the only ones around that is geared toward younger children: teenagers need not apply. It contains rides and attractions based on fantasy and storybook characters. Among some of the themes featured are Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose, Humpty Dumpty, the Old Lady who Lived in the Shoe, and Hansel and Gretel. For kids who are a little older, there are also bobsled rides, a haunted house, bumper cars, and water rides. The Oregon Coast - The Oregon coast isn’t a place where you will find a slug of college party kids or girls aspiring to go wild; instead, this coast isn’t your typical coast. In lieu of beach volleyball and bikinis, this coast has bonfires and clam chowder. The waters are often cold, too cold for swimming on most occasions, and people are just as likely to wear a winter coat as they are a tank top. Because it is free of the typical coastal behavior, this coast evokes a sense of calmness and sereneness that other beaches can not possess. Going here for twenty minutes makes you feel as if your troubles could drift away, possibly carried off by a hungry seagull who mistook your worries for a piece of bread. Oregon’s coast stretches for almost 400 miles, from Astoria (oh yes people, home of the Goonies) to Brookings. This vastness provides people with several things to do. From looking at lighthouses to shopping in boutiques, from whale watching to deep sea fishing, the Oregon coast is perfect for those with eclectic tastes. People may find enjoyment taking a scenic drive or staying at a beachfront hotel. Others may find certain attractions - such as the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and the Sea Lion Caves in Florence - more appealing. No matter what you find to do, you’ll find that the Oregon Coast is a sure, or shore, bet.Mt. Hood - Mt. Hood might not be the Alps or the Rocky Mountains, but you probably won’t mind. Home to four ski areas - including the only ski area in North America that is open year round - Mt. Hood is filled with volcanic slopes, valleys, and rivers. Perhaps the furthest thing from skiing, fruit growing is also something this region is famous for. From grapes to apples, from blueberries to pears and apricots, the only thing you can’t grow here is bored. After a day on the slopes or a day of harvest, many travelers find their experience continues at the Columbia River Gorge, right nearby. This is arguably one of the most magnificent places in the nation: it’s as if verses of America the Beautiful were written with this gorge in mind. Containing Multnomah Falls, one of the 77 waterfalls in the area, visitors here can’t help but ask, “Niagara who?” Six hundred and twenty feet high, there are only three other waterfalls in the country that are higher. The Willamette Valley - For people who like wine, otherwise known as people who are breathing, the Willamette Valley is a great place to visit. Located roughly 100 miles south of Portland, this valley is filled with rolling green hills, country lanes, and covered bridges. It reminds people of a simpler time of life, when neighbors said hello, people helped each other, and farmers’ markets existed instead of Wal-Mart’s. Three quarters of Oregon’s wine comes from the Willamette Valley: this is a valley known not only for some of the best Oregonian wine, but some of the best wine everywhere. Over 200 wineries are located here, waiting to offer the thirsty traveler a little taste of Oregon in the form of Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. The Shakespeare Festival - Where art thou Good Theater? Tis in Oregon. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, located in Southern Oregon, is one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit theaters in the country. Tony Award-winning, this festival operates on an eight and a half month basis, producing eleven shows at a time in three theaters. Annually, this theater is home to over 780 performances and 360,000 patrons. For those who like literature, there is no better place to see Shakespeare’s words come to life. Oregon is one of the best places to go for a laidback, unique vacation. It offers people a chance to experience a variety of things in an eclectic environment. Simply put, it is an Oregon trail of fun.Jennifer Jordan is a senior editor for http://www.milleniumlimo.com/. CHARLOTTE CHURCH BELLYBUTTON: The Many Genres of Christian Music. . We all probably know a couple religious hymns, but today’s fast-paced society is changing, and so is the style of music we listen to. Christian music has developed tremendously over the last century to represent the changing style of music that we enjoy. Contemporary music offers up-to-date music styles with the same traditional Christian message within the lyrics. In fact, Contemporary Christian music is growing quickly in popularity, and so is the number of subgenres offered to those interested in listening. In this article we discuss a few of the newer genres in Christian music.ContemporaryContemporary music literally covers all genres of new age Christian music, but is most commonly associated with a new movement of Christian music that has alternative rock, pop, and country sounds. The contemporary movement began in the 1960s, with this type of music then referred to as Jesus music. Some Christians dispute whether or not the contemporary tones fit into their religion, but contemporary is a popular genre that gives Protestant listeners an alternative faith-based style of music. The growth of contemporary styles has been strong since the mid 1990s, and newer artists and subgenres help to continue the expansion of Christian music.Hip HopChristian hip hop, or gospel rap, is a unique genre of Christian music. Due to the often sinful nature of mainstream rap lyrics, it has been a tough road for Christian rap artists to gain popularity. However, beginning in the 1990s Christian rap has become popular with the younger generation looking for an uplifting form of music that reflects their urban lifestyle. The most popular innovators among Christian hip hop artists would likely be DC Talk, who took the music scene by storm in the late 1980s before making a switch to a more pop sound in the mid 1990s. Christian hip hop is a fabulous way for Christians to spread their faith to kids from the street and other youth looking for a fresh music genre. GospelIf gospel music does not fill your sole with spirit, then I am not sure what can! Gospel music is uplifting, inspiring, and fun to listen to. When most think of gospel music, churches in the south come to mind. In fact, gospel music has been thought to have started during times of slavery in the late 1800s. The genre of gospel became more defined and gained popularity in the first quarter of the twentieth century, and is now listened to worldwide. Gospel music is known for its strong vocals surrounded by electric guitars, bass, and drums. Gospel music thrives today and is certainly considered a staple of Christian music.Christian Rock Christian rock music covers a lot of ground with many different subgenres contained within the rock category. The “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” explosion in the 1960s certainly made many Christians wary of jumping into the rock scene, but by the early 1970s Christian rock bands began to separate themselves from a demonic image, and instead produced Christian lyrics with rock tones. Today many bands are considered Christian rock artists, some more devoted to the Christian title than others. Although some might not realize this, the band U2 was a catalyst for Christian rock in the 1990s based on their enormous success beginning in the 1980s. This is hardly a complete list of Christian music genres, but sampling some of these genres will give you a good taste of the great listening Christian music offers. Finding your favorite genre is important and will certainly enhance your experience. Being able to listen to your favorite Christian bands at home or on the go is a relaxing way to worship throughout the day.Justin Palmer runs the online store for http://www.C28.com where you can find Christian clothing, music and more. The C28 Christian music store, http://www.c28.com/new-christian-music-store.asp, has the hottest selection of today’s Christian music!.

If planning on stuffing turkey, do so now. Rub 1/4 cup of the maple butter mixture over the outside of the turkey. With kitchen string, tie legs of turkey together loosely.4. Arrange the chopped onion, chopped celery, and chopped carrot around the turkey in the roasting pan. If desired, the neck and giblets may be added to the vegetables. Sprinkle the remaining thyme and marjoram over the vegetables, and pour the chicken stock into the pan.5. Roast turkey 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and cover turkey loosely with foil. Continue to roast, about 3 to 4 hours unstuffed or 4 to 5 hours stuffed, until the internal temperature of the thigh reaches 180 degrees F (80 degrees C) and stuffing reaches 165 degrees F (75 degrees C). Transfer turkey to a platter, and cover with foil. Reserve pan mixture for gravy. Allow turkey to sit about 25 minutes before removing stuffing and carving.6. To Make Gravy: Strain pan juices into a measuring cup. Spoon fat from juices. Add enough chicken stock to make 3 cups. Transfer liquid to a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. In a small bowl, mix reserved maple butter mixture with flour to form a paste, and whisk into the broth. Stir in thyme, bay leaf, and apple brandy. Boil until reduced and slightly thickened. TICKETS FOR CELINE DION AUCTION: Does Your Sportsbook Post Betting Lines On Just About Anything?. . Remember when you’d saunter into a sportsbook, or contacted one on the Internet, because you wanted to do a little sports betting? You still can but increasingly sportsbooks are catering to a more varied wagering clientele that is demanding betting lines on topics that do not meet even the broadest definition of sports. Ambitious sportsbook operators, eager to please their customers (not to mention fearful that they’ll lose them to someone else) are obliging, often offering wagers designed specifically for just one bettor. That was certainly the case when one proud father demanded that a British bookmaker give him a price on his newborn son scoring a goal for England in a World Cup event, two decades down the life line. The sportsbook quoted a price and the man took it.No one knows for sure when sports betting emporiums began posting and accepting wagers on non sports related events but some trace it back to 1960 when the William Hill Agency, one of Britain’s most respected bet takers, offered 10,000/1 odds on a man landing on the moon before the end of the decade. Neil Armstrong’s one small step for man turned out to be one giant payoff for the lucky bloke who made the wager.Nowadays, betting lines are provoked as much by the entertainment industry and current events as they are by traditional sports, such as football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, auto racing boxing, golf and horse racing. Most sportsbooks now offer lines on a variety of reality TV shows, including “American Idol,” “Survivor,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “Project Runway,” “Amazing Race,” and several of the country’s versions of “Big Brother.” The options even go beyond who will win and to which contestant will be next to be ousted (or “auffed” by Heidi Klum in the case of “Project Runway”) to such obscurities as to how many times “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson will say “dog” during a particular broadcast. As proof that the line between entertainment and sports betting hasn’t just been smudged but obliterated, many sportsbooks routinely offer odds on the gender of the offspring of celebrities, including Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Katie Holmes. In the case of the Tom Cruise/Holmes production, the choices were “boy,” “girl,” and “other.” OK, just kidding. But celebrity foibles often are the stuff of betting lines including whether actress Winona Ryder would be convicted of shop lifting, as well as the ultimate resolution of court matters regarding OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson and Robert Blake. (If you had the “not guilty” trifecta then you’re probably set for life).Oddly, although Elvis Presley left the building several decades ago, sportsbooks still offer bountiful odds on a documented sighting of the King of Rock ‘n Roll. The same holds true for the Loch Ness Monster. (If you happen to find the two of them having a beer in Memphis, ask for a really big price). Some sportsbooks also offered odds on which Cardinal (Albert Pujols was not a choice) would replace Pope John Paul II, which canine would take the Best in Show ribbon at the Westminster Kennel Club and which woman would be named Miss World. The old adage that everybody talks about the weather but no one ever does anything about it is no longer true now that several British books offer betting on whether there will be snow on Dec. 25. Bettors no longer have to dream about a white Christmas; they can wager whether the white stuff will make an appearance at specific locations that day.Politics is another favorite provenance for intriguing betting lines. The Conservatives are favored to take over for the Labour Party the next time Brits go to the polls while the race for US President finds NY Senator and former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton an even money choice to get the nomination of the Democratic Party while Arizona Senator John McCain is the 3/2 choice to head the ticket for the Republicans. Should it pan out that way, most oddsmakers make Clinton a slight favorite over McCain to take up residency at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January of 2009.Can’t wait for 2008? Bet the US midterm elections, including key senate races and which party will control Congress, now.Perhaps the strangest of all wagering proposals was one that the world would come to an end on a certain date. Some people did bet that would happen, evidently banking on collecting once they got to the afterlife. Didn’t they realize, if gambling abolitionists are correct, that heaven doesn’t have a sportsbook?By Luken Karel for http://www.thegreek.com The Greek Sportsbook & Casino is a top online sportsbook: http://www.thegreek.com/ offering betting on all major sports. CHRIS ROCK CHEAT: Is Autographed Sports Memorabilia Worth It?. . I saw an article the other day claiming that sports memorabilia is one of the top 10 biggest wastes of money. Chris Pummer, who wrote the article claims that, “This market for the celebrity struck may be the greatest separator of fools and their money ever.”He lists premium coffee to go and cigarettes as a few other “biggest wastes of money.”I agree with Pummer that sports memorabilia is a waste of money if you buy the wrong player or if you purchase something that is fake. But the bottom line is that the market for autographed sports memorabilia and collectibles is huge. Authentic autographs are tough to get, expensive, and there are limited amounts available.Take Pete Rose, who signs every weekend in Las Vegas. There is such a demand for his autographed memorabilia that his jerseys, baseballs and other items consistently bring good money — no matter how much he signs. When Pete becomes unable to sign — or he dies, his existing, authentic autographed memorabilia will double or triple in value.Pummer mentions how a $700 Barry Bonds ball is worthless. I have to agree with him on that one. Sports memorabilia shopping is all about picking the right player (and Bonds is not the right player). When a Willie Mays autographed baseball currently sells for around $250-$300, why would you spend $700 on a Bonds baseball?Mays is proven, he is the greatest living baseball player on the planet — do the math. Even when Bonds surpassed Willie’s home run record, he did not become more collectible than Willie Mays. Bonds will never be more collectible than Mays and his baseballs will never be worth more.Sports memorabilia collecting is similar to the stock market. The athlete is the stock. You have to make sure the athlete has good fundamentals, management, and you also have to investigate how the market values them.Joe Montana, for example, is one of the all-time best selling autographs in the industry. He is a proven athlete, no steroid scandals, and people love him. He does sign frequently, but there is such a huge demand for Joe Montana memorabilia, it doesn’t matter.Sports memorabilia is not a waste of money, it is an investment if you know what you are buying. Educate yourself on the market — for example, shopping on eBay if you don’t know how to spot fake autographs is a bad idea. There are tons of sellers on eBay that still sell fake autographs even though a few forgers went to jail as a result of the FBI’s Operation Bullpen over 3 years ago.If you educated yourself on authentic autographs, found good players to invest in, and studied values of items based on what they are currently selling for, then you could see better returns than your stock market portfolio — well, maybe at least better returns than the S&P 500 and those horrible mutual funds!Kelly Johns started ALLAuthentic.com in 1998 by selling http://allauthentic.com online out of his garage. Since then ALLAuthentic.com has grown to be one of the largest, most reputable sports memorabilia companies on the Internet..

LISTEN TO CELINE DION PRAYER: Puppy-Proof Your Home Before Your Shih Tzu Arrives. . Ah, Shih Tzu puppies….so adorable, filled with boundless energy and curious about any-and-everything around them. Taking the appropriate steps to puppy-proof your home will go a long way in protecting these little ones from harm. Your precautions will also safeguard your belongings from possible damage. Try to imagine life from a Shih Tzu puppy’s point of view. You might be saying, well how can I do that? Go to each room of your house. Get down on your hands and knees. Take a good look at what your Shih Tzu puppy might be enticed by. Remember, they are new to your home. Shih Tzu puppies are somewhat like toddlers. Shih Tzu puppies will eventually explore their surroundings. Some Shih Tzu puppies will start right away investigating this new place. Other Shih Tzu puppies may take awhile to settle in. Eventually all Shih Tzu puppies will be exploring their new home. They will roam around like a toddler putting things in their mouth and poling around in nooks and crannies. It is your responsibility to check out what there may be in your home that could possibly harm the new Shih Tzu puppy. You are also looking around for those items of yours you do not want the new Shih Tzu puppy to explore. Cabinets Watch out for cleaning supplies and personal care items that are stored in low storage areas like kitchen and under-sink bathroom cabinets. The ingredients in these products are extremely harmful and can even cause death. If the cabinet doors can be easily opened by the mouths and paws of Shih Tzu puppies, try to store these items in some other place. Another option is to purchase plastic child-proof cabinet locks that can be temporarily attached to the handles or knobs. These safety locks can usually be found online or in local pet supply (or baby) stores. Electrical Cords How tantalizing is an electrical cord especially when it’s looping down from a table or desk? “I can jump at it, pull on it, wrestle with it and even gnaw on it.” Shih Tzu puppies will most likely perform all these tasks with an electrical cord. The dangers here are obvious: a falling lamp or electrocution can cause serious injury or worse. Wrap up loose hanging electrical cords or at least block access to them. And for cords that need to run across the floor, use rubber or plastic cord/cable runners that can be purchased at an office supply outlet or home improvement store. If you don’t mind plastering a nail in the wall, you can also do this, and hang the cord up out of Shih Tzu puppy’s eyesight. Plants Household plants are attractive to most Shih Tzu puppies. A lot of household plants are poison to Shih Tzu and dogs in general. Ingesting a bite or two can cause nausea, vomiting and in some cases death. It is probably an excellent idea to re-position your plants so that they are out of reach. You don’t want your Shih Tzu poisoned or made ill by your beautiful plants. Neither do you want your beautiful plants destroyed by the curiosity of a Shih Tzu puppy. Small Objects Around the House Be alert to small items around the house that can be swallowed. Items in this category would be coins, jewelry, sewing supplies, batteries, medication and miniature knick-knacks left on low surfaces. Sometimes worse than swallowing these small items is that the Shih Tzu puppy may choke to death. Don’t forget to block access to trash receptacles in the kitchen, your home office and even the bathroom. Shih Tzu puppies love pushing on a trash can until it falls over and then “wow” all that is inside is within reach. This is so amusing to a Shih Tzu puppy; however, it is a disaster to the Shih Tzu puppy’s owner. Take heed now before you bring home your adorable little Shih Tzu puppy and block access to trash bins.Toilet To an adventurous Shih Tzu puppy, the challenge of climbing up, up and over the rim of your toilet is a tail-wagging delight. Unfortunately, falling head first into this big, slippery bowl of water is not so delightful especially for a smaller-sized pup. Simple solution: make it a house rule to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. Puppy-proofing your home before your wonderful little Shih Tzu buddy arrives may seem like a hassle, but providing the safest environment possible is a necessity. After all, your lovable, four-legged bundle of joy is worth it.Connie Limon. I raise Shih Tzu puppies. Please visit us online at: http://www.stainglassshihtzus.com Sign up for our FREE newsletter. .
